To aid boaters and boat anglers, TRPA has established a toll-free number, 1-888-824-6267, and a Web site, www.protecttahoe.org , to provide informaton concerning ramp hours and lake conditions. Inspectors are on sites from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m through May, weather and lake water level permitting.

KCRA and KGO news stations to drop South Lake Tahoe

If you own a home in our area and wonder why your cable channels have changed, KCRA and KGO are not planning on upgrading their microwave transmissions to Charter Communications to meet the digital format for South Lake Tahoe. Therefore, Beginning Dec. 2, Reno will be the main market station for the area. Charter customers will continue to receive San Francisco Fox station on Channel 11.
